The word Doula (doo-la) is an old Greek word which means "one who serves". Doulas are also called a labor coach, labor support professionals, birth companions, or childbirth assistants.

A Doula is a woman of experience who supports women during pregnancy, labor and in the postpartum period, in whatever choices she makes.

Siya ay isang tunay na kaakbay, kasa-kasama sapinagdadaanan ng buntis sa labor at panganganak.

As a Doula, they aim to educate the mind, encourage the heart, enlighten the spirit, and empower the body of the mother to have a positive and enriching birth experience.

The goal of doula support is to provide continuous physical, emotional, and informational support to birthing families in pregnancy, labor, birth, and immediate postpartum.
